Airush Kiteboarding kitesurfing twintips
Each kitesurfer has a twintip board. A twintip is a rectangular board with which you can sail in all directions.
With a twintip you can jump high and walk easily. Airush has developed a twintip kiteboard for every level and riding style. Using different constructions, each twintip has its own character.
Below, we briefly explain the different Airush twintips with a link to the full description on the website. If you have questions about Airush boards, you can contact us by email, phone, and WhatsApp.
Airush Switch Twintip Kiteboard
The Airush Switch is the most durable kiteboard in the world of kitesurfing. The Airush Switch has been on sale since 2001. It is the beginner / freeride kiteboard within the Airush kiteboard range.
It has a flat rocker that allows you to navigate quickly and easily ride upwind. Its Paulownia wood core provides good flexibility for a forgiving character. The Switch is available in two constructions, the Progression version and the Team version.
The different technologies are explained at the end of this page. Check the full description of the Switch Progression and the Switch Team.
Airush Apex Twintip Kiteboard
The Airush Apex is a twintip kiteboard designed for freeride freestyle, suitable for intermediate to advanced kitesurfers. It works well with both footstraps and boots, making it ideal for big air and freestyle. Compared to the Switch, the Apex has a higher rocker and a stiffer flex. Its bottom shape, featuring Venturi-style channels, provides excellent grip, perfect for explosive jumps and great heights. The Apex is available in two constructions: the V5 and the Team. Airush Livewire Twintip Kiteboard
The Airush Livewire is a kiteboard designed for wakestyle and park kitesurfing. The Livewire is extremely strong, practically "bombproof." Its base, equipped with an HD Grindrite slider, allows you to perform tricks on sliders and obstacles without damaging the board too much.
The deep channels and the concavity at the bottom provide considerable grip, so much so that you can even use the Livewire without fins.
It is the kiteboard with the highest rocker of all Airush models, ideal for wakestyle tricks and smooth landings. To get the most out of the Livewire, it is recommended to use it with boots. Read more about the Airush Livewire here.
Airush Directional kitesurf surfboards
Besides a wide range of twintip boards, Airush also offers a great selection of directional boards, including the Converse, Amp, Comp, Diamond, and Mini Monsters models.
These boards are suitable for all kitesurfing conditions and surfing levels. Below is a brief description of the different boards with a link to the full description on our website.
Airush Converse Directional Surfboard
The Airush Converse is a beast for surfing "down the line." Its high rocker design gives it a very responsive feel. Its narrow width ensures maximum control at high speeds. The Converse features an epoxy construction that provides comfortable flexibility. The thruster fin setup is compatible with Futures fins. Read the full description of the Airush Converse here.
Airush Amp Directional Surfboard
Airush developed the Amp to be an all-terrain surfboard. Its flat rocker provides great control at high speeds, and its rounded design optimizes maneuverability. The diamond-shaped tail is ideal for kitesurfing. The bottom features a single to double concave to absorb waves, offering a smooth experience. The Amp is the perfect combination of speed and agility, ideal for less powerful waves and onshore wind days. Read the full description of the Airush Amp here.
Airush Comp Directional Surfboard
The Airush Comp is an all-terrain competition surfboard, combining speed and precision. It has a relatively flat rocker in the tail for speed and acceleration, and a medium rocker in the nose for slightly bigger waves. Its medium width provides firm edges and an agile feel. The narrow nose offers great control for powerful turns. The thruster fin setup is slightly set back to compensate for its fast rocker.

Airush kitesurf hydrofoil
Airush also offers quality hydrofoils for kitesurfing. These hydrofoils are ideal for sailing on low wind days. Below is a summary of Airush hydrofoils.
Airush Freeride kitesurf hydrofoil
The Airush freeride hydrofoil is a reliable foil with medium speed. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced kitesurfers. Thanks to its narrow wing, you need more speed to get out of the water than with a hydrofoil with a low aspect ratio, but this also allows you to reach a higher top speed. The wing shape makes the Airush Freeride hydrofoil very stable and reliable. The mast and fuselage are made of aluminum, while the wings are carbon.
Airush Carving kitesurf hydrofoil
The Airush Carving hydrofoil features a front wing with a large surface area, giving it a low aspect ratio (AR). This allows the foil to lift quickly at low speeds, making the Carving ideal for agile maneuvers and turns. Although its top speed is lower than that of the freeride, the Carving is very maneuverable and fun. The mast and fuselage are made of aluminum, while the wings are made of lightweight carbon.
Airush Rear X-wing
The X-wing is found in Airush's Carving and Freeride hydrofoils. This rear wing is special because it can be adjusted to different positions: with the wings up or down. With the wings up, the foil is more stable at high speed; with the wings down, the foil becomes more agile, ideal for larger foils on shorter masts.
Airush kitesurf technology
Manufacturing a good kiteboard is not easy. Much research and development precede the creation of a kiteboard. Over time, Airush kiteboards have improved thanks to experimentation with various types of technologies. In the kiteboards currently produced by Airush, some techniques and constructions stand out, which we describe below.
Construction of Airush Progression kiteboards
The Airush Progression series is designed to offer a high quality-to-price ratio. These are strong and durable boards, perfect if you are starting in kitesurfing and looking for a sturdy board.
Construction of Airush Team kiteboards
The Airush Team construction is the most premium, focused on performance. This construction is lightweight thanks to the use of carbon, which is combined with the Airush Multi zone biotech core for the best flex and riding feel.
